Consultancy advice to support the development of Direct Ore Shipment infrastructure. 

Vale Indonesia with their joint venture partners over the next 3 to 5 years are developing a number of Growth Projects to produce nickel including a Rotary Kiln Electric Furnace (RKEF) Plant in Sambalagi, Central Sulawesi, a High-Pressure Acid Leach (HPAL) Plant in Pomalaa, Southeast Sulawesi and another in Malili, South Sulawesi. Project includes several LNG Power Plants, LNG Jetty & LNG Bulk Storage Facilities. Resindo Scope of Services is to provide multi-disciplinary Engineering support for evaluations of: §  Sambalagi RKEF Project JV Partner designs; §  Pomalaa HPAL Project JV Partner designs; §  Sorowako HPAL Project JV Partner designs, and;

Project Engineering support for evaluations to any other JV Growth Projects.

Resindo is engaged to provide Design Review of the PTVI  Bahodopi Coastal Barge Port study, then Resindo will undertake the Engineering Design including; calculations, drawings & details for all aspects of the Coastal Barge Port and it’s Haul Truck shore Jetty access.

The Scope of Work is to determine an optimum Materials Handling system Layout for planned & Future Expansion for 4.5 mtpa with multiple Coal Barge Unloaders, Bargeloaders & Products. Due to remote nature, facility will have a small Operations Camp, Fuel Facilities, Diesel Genset Power, Personnel Jetty, etc. Work includes Capacity Design / Layout, Geotechnical Drilling, Laboratory Tests, Geotech Analysis / Report, Hydrology to determine Pad / Flood levels, etc. 

Resindo provide an update to the IFC documents to optimize total material balance of Stockpile Delaney 1, including cut, fill, pavement, stockpile and road 

The main scope is to provide Document Review and Procurement Recommendation for 200 TPH Crushing Plant as follows:

1)     Review quotation received from Supplier for processing plant equipment (Crushing Plant, Agglomeration Plant and ADR System).

2)     Assessment and selection of Supplier and equipment.

3)     Determine equipment sourcing strategy.

4)     Recommendation Supplier and equipment to procure.

5)     Review DED

Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) 

Development of Nickel plan with key technical aspects, Capex & Opex costs for Direct Ore shipment to simple process plant, followed by major process plant. Focus on technical requirements; coal fired power plant, mining infrastructure, port, coastal bulk fuel facilities, mine infrastructure, community and environmental aspects. Process inputs by Independent & Ausenco Consultants, resource model by CSA Global. 

Detail design for the new Toll Road with multiple bridges to fit the actual topography for construction

Front End & detailed Engineering for Test facility using heap leach columns for Xstrata development project. Workscope includes, structure, columns, utilities, etc. All engineering is undertaken in Jakarta, all equipment, steel, electrical etc is to USA standards. Capex based on local costs for labour & materials. Process inputs & coord by Vector. System design is to Xstrata’s HSE stringent requirements including HAZOP workshops.  

Working jointly together, SMEC-Resindo undertook the road & bridge options review, structural & civil analysis and preliminary design. Work also included Capex development.

Technical review of development plans including infrastructure, Bulk Materials Port, Capex and Opex for all operations including mining, stockpiling, haulage & port operations for Direct Ore Shipment infrastructure. Development of Tender documentation for Contractors, assist in review, implementation methodologies. 

Consultancy to support DHV in the development of capability in the minerals sector. DHV are a leading consultant in water & wastewater systems. 

Pre-Feasibility Study for: Process Plant Infrastructure, Off site infrastructure including haul roads, Coastal Port infrastructure for major vessels; bulk carrier arrivals and discharge, container vessel loading and product export, camps, tank farm fuel facilities, etc. Study includes Capex and Opex development for all areas. All engineering is undertaken in Jakarta, all equipment; steel, electrical etc is to be sourced in Philippines, generally to ASTM (USA) & IEC standards. 

Resindo was engaged to produce a DFS and directly the FEED development of a 2MWp Solar Power Farm to supply Offices, Workshops and other Process Plant supporting infrastructure. Works includes solar plant design, earthworks, drainage, substation, supporting facilities and Capex. The system will act as an alternative green supply for selected infrastructure with switchover to the Grid system for night periods. System will be designed to enable the addition of Battery connections in future. 

Study for two packages:

Work includes site investigation, prelim design, capital and operating cost estimates.

Development and review of new road options to relocate the onshore operations and provide a new Jetty for current operations and future expansion. Work includes development options, routes and capital costs. 

Scoping Study for: Process Plant Infrastructure, Off site infrastructure including haul roads, Port infrastructure, camps, bulk river port fuel facilities, etc. Study includes Capex and Opex development for all areas. 

Supporting Client for PLN discussions for 150kV supply to Process Plant. Design of 150kV substation to receive the 150kV PLN supply and feed the RKEF Process Plant.

Work includes design, Capex and section of DFS report.  

Scoping level study for the development of a commercial nickel processing facility with supporting infrastructure at Gag Island. Infrastructure includes bulk coastal port for Panamax vessels, mining infrastructure, process plant infrastructure, coastal bulk fuel farm, major Operations camp; engineering and estimating. 

Resindo is undertaking the EPCM jointly with the client including bulk tankage, pumping and piping for diesel fuel and acid storage. 

Resindo was engaged to review the quality and progress of the fabrication and construction works for the pilot iron sands processing plant to produce concentrate.

Coastal Port Coal Fired Power Distribution Haul Road Mine Infra Nickel Plant Bulk Fuel Farm | Scoping level study for three works packages:

Resindo is engaged directly by the Client to undertake the detailed modelling and analysis of the proposed state grid supply to the gold project. Work includes modelling the network from the nearest State owned generators, via a new 150kV transmission line to a new 150kV substation then feeding the loads for the process plant & supporting infrastructure currently in FEED.

PFS level Study for the design, Capex and Opex for a 20km dual direction Overland Conveyor (OLC) for ore & granulated slag return. Development of Haul road design including bridges, capital & operating cost estimate as alternative to OLC.

Support in integration of all estimate areas from diverse groups into a single complete estimate. 

The Study Scope of Work is the high level design of the Ore & Reagents Materials Handling, Cooling Systems, Furnace Piping & Electrical Systems, Smelter Building & Platforms to develop initial MTO’s to arrive at a Capital Estimate (Capex) +/- 25%. Includes installation cost for the Metso TSL Furnace equipment, gas handling, etc. providing a full Pilot Plant Cost based on Indonesia, Execution Plan and Construction Schedule.

Resindo will draw on our previous TSL BoP FEED Engineering for the major TIMAH smelter undertaken previously with Metso (Outotec). 

Process Drafting Services, engineering & design services for process area piping & equipment layouts, utilities, etc for Various Nickel heap leach- hydrometallurgical, HPAL & Pyrometallurgical process projects; BHPB, Xstrata, other. 

Resindo is working jointly with HRL (Australian; Experts in coal fired power plant performance optimisation) for the PJB Paiton Power Plant near Surabaya, Java, Indonesia.

Resindo’s role is to provide equipment and engineering services for the works jointly with HRL who are the technology experts & training lead. 

Resindo was engaged to undertake the Basic Engineering design for the Aurora Solar Farm development In Adelaide, south Australia that would form part of the grid supply. The system will provide grid power to the State’s network. Resindo undertook the electrical including substation design, earthworks and civil design for the site. 

Battery (BESS) Equipment FEED design was undertaken by Client Emanden with Resindo developing the drawings for the Project.

Resindo is undertaking the DFS for Elang infrastructure. New pit development for the Batu Hijau Process plant. Work includes basic engineering, Capex, Opex and all associated engineering / technical works for the; Bulk Fuel Storage & Dispensing including cross country pipeline and pumping. 

The Scope of Work is Detailed Design for the five (5) Plant Buildings; 

Resindo will develop Buildings using a 3D basis (Autodesk Revit) with the details extracted in ACAD 2D, Structural designs will be modelled in SAP2000. All drawings will be dual language (Chinese-English) in the National Chinese Drawing format as per ENFI China Standards and using Chinese steel sections. 

Basic Engineering (Aus Standards) for the relocation of 4 x TM2500 single cycle GE gas power plant units. Work includes layout development, civil design, mechanical and electrical design for existing and new equipment (fuel, water, demin, transformers, panels, etc.) including substation & grid connection to Australian Grid Power Company (66kV).

The scope of work was to carry out the Civil Structural Detailed Design for the  Slag Pump Station including structures, crane The bilingual deliverables (English & Chinese) includes; 3D Engineering Model for integration into overall Process Plant / Smelter, interpretation of the Client Geotechnical Report for IFC design, Pump Station General Arrangements, Water / Storage Ponds / Basins (suction pond, slag water return pond structure), Calculations, Detail Drawings IFC & MTO’s.

Project is fast track to support the Client’s overall project development schedule. 

The scope of Works is to undertake the Multidisciplinary DED for Desalination Plant Utilities which has water source in the main SWIS Basin and supplies the Desalination Plant, Brine to Sea Dispersal pipeline, Fresh Water to Plant locations; Mass Balance, PFD, P&ID, Calculations & Detail Design of Pumps, Piping system, Civil, and E&I Systems tied into the SWIS, Desalination & Process Plant Expansion.

Works Includes Mechanical, Piping, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering. Works will be undertaken as 3D Engineering Models. 

Resindo is engaged to undertake a civil & structural design Peer Review for a new logistics supply base for the berthing of O&G ocean vessels. 

 | The scope of work is to carry out the Detailed Design for the Seawater Intake system feeding the Smelter, including the Jetty mounted Pump Platform, Piping to the Smelter boundary, Electrical, Instrumentation & Control systems for construction. The bilingual deliverables (English & Chinese) includes; General Arrangements, Specs, Data Sheets, PFD’s, P&ID’s, Process Functional Description, Calculations, MTO’s and As-Builts, etc.

Work includes modelling the network connection and Process Plant affects for PLN supply.  

Work includes the FEED design for civil and E-BoP plant construction including Capex. Roadworks includes public and site roads including design adjustments to existing public roads to allow the Turbine Blade transport to reach site, new Port for unloading equipment, Site facilities; substation, transmission line and towers 33kv and 70kV, etc.  to connect to the PLN substation. Work also included supporting the Client for PLN meetings and completing the technical submission documentation for PLN for the Project.

Resindo working jointly with the Client is undertaking the process infrastructure and balance of plant design, procurement and Project-Construction Management for the smelter development. RKEF by Chinese EPC Contractor with plant Civil Works design by Resindo to incorporate high seismic zone design requirements. Balance of Resindo works includes Design, Procurement & Project-Construction Mgt; process plant civil, process infrastructure, crushing and materials handling systems, infrastructure; port, power including MV distribution & 150kV substation, interfaces with PLN, river water intake system, site prep, haul and access roads, quarry, camps, etc. 

Includes commercial & technical contract development for the RKEF and Balance of Plant Packages. 

Resindo undertook the FEL2 study for the new access road which will form the pipeline corridor between the current development on-shore field and the existing compressor plant. Workscope included working with COPI team to optimise the route to ensure the pipeline gas flow performance characteristics would be met. 

The Scope of Work is to carry out the Multi-Disciplinary Detailed Design for the Process Water earthworks, roadworks, foundations for the 3rd Party Substation, Switchgear, Backup Gensets, filed pipe benches and roads including culverts and a bridge to various Process Plant location Tie in Points (TIP) with 3rd Party Infrastructure.

Development of captive power plant 10MW dual fuel to supply the planned Nickel Cobalt process plant at a remote site. Workscope includes design, construction management, capital & operating costs. The Scope of Work is to carry out Detail Engineering Design Architectural, Civil, Structural, Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing (“MEP”), with BoQ’s, Market Pricing for Construction. 

Buildings & all services will be 3D Engineering Modelled, then 2D extracted & further detailed for IFC documents. 

Development of captive power plant options to supply the planned copper process plant at a remote site. Workscope includes technologies, feasibility, capital & operating cost & recommendations. Power plants based on HFO, LNG and Coal Fired technologies with some renewable options for partial supply with main systems.

Scope of Work is the Pump Station Suction Intake Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Vortex Analysis. 

Develop the CFD model in specialist software with supporting 3D and 2D and/or suitable engineering level animations for the Pump Station vortex analysis.

The analysis to determine whether functional issues with the current design exist or not, i.e. Design confirmation, or where design issues are identified, through coord with the Client, adjust the design via proposed improvements to mitigate operational /­­­ functional issues. 

1.     Review of the existing structure and differences for the new Generator Set.
2.     Site review and site engineering as necessary to support the placement of the new Generator Set with respect to structure and the associated dynamic loads.
3.     Development of short engineering report with sketches / drawings as necessary to support the works.

DFS development for the Ojolali Gold Heap Leach Project. Scope of Work includes process design, crushing & Materials Handling Design, overall plant & facilities design and specification including 20kV distribution, substation development and interfacing with PLN for substation connections and protection, procurement for main equipment, Capex, Opex etc. 

Resindo will integrate the work from other specialist Consultants for mine Design, Geotech, Hydrology, Environment etc. to form a complete DFS Report for financing. 

Workscope includes the review of previous studies by 3rd parties with respect to technologies, feasibility, capital & operating cost reviews, gap identification & recommendation for way forward. Basis is 150-250MW Power plants based on HFO, LNG and Coal Fired technologies .

Resindo was engaged for the fabrication management and reporting for the progressive manufacture of two thickeners for two different gold Projects on behalf of Metso - Outotec. 

Review of the FEED solution and determine if the pipeline can be optimised to reduce costs with respect to pipeline materials and foundations along steep incline route.

For revised positioning of the Process Plant a second package was awarded for further review and design optimisation of the pipeline material, pump pressures, materials, footings to reduce price.  

Site investigation, engineering & development of deliverables for structural, mechanical and electrical works for Rig 67 to international O&G standards.

Working as an integrated team with Como Engineers (Australia). Resindo was engaged for the EPCM expansion for the current gold processing facility – Demolish old Scats Crusher, EPCM for the new expanded capacity one.  

Workscope included (EPCM); Detailed Design, Procurement support (RFQ’s, TBE’s, CBE’s, etc.) then Construction Mgt for the realisation of the work. Resindo provided a number of Site Construction Management personnel including discipline Project Engineers, Site Mgr for the final period of the Works, HSE & QA personnel, etc., as well as fabrication shop inspections & monitoring, FATs, etc. from Jakarta 

Resindo was engaged to undertake the BFS for the DSO development. Works included Barge Port, Stockpiles, Mining Facility, Haul Roads, Camp, Capex, Opex and coordination with 3rd Party Consultants to form an overall BFS Report. 

Work extended to include construction design for the mining infrastructure and port for fast start-up. 

The Sidrap Wind Farm Project is the first commercial wind farm in Indonesia, with a capacity of 75 MW. The project includes the installation of 30 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 2.5 MW. The primary goal of the project was to contribute to the nation’s renewable energy targets, providing sustainable and clean energy to the grid. Resindo was engaged on behalf of the Owner’s site team by the Contractor BUMA to review, report and supervise contractor works:
1)     Electrical equipment remediation.
2)     Civil foundation integrity / strength review and remediation.
A major factor of these works was investigation, remediation design and methodologies for incorrectly constructed Wind Tower foundations / quality. The result was acceptance by the Owner and Contractor and Project works were then completed.  

Resindo was engaged to work with the Client to develop the submission letter to the Government for the comparison between previous approved Gov FS and changes based on the FEED and optimisation work undertaken in 2020/2021.

Resindo working with SEM Energy Ltd for the design and construction of a refurbished MFO / HFO power plant. Work included the detailed design for the electrical, mechanical and structural works for the MFO system, cooling system, piping, switchyard etc., supervision of electrical panel & system refurbishment, mechanical and electrical site supervision / review during construction. Project was fast track with very tight time frame to meet clients IPP contract commitment for grid supply.

Resindo undertook the PFS to determine the options and costs of a mini hydro power plant to provide auxiliary power to the developing Gold Process Plant and Infrastructure. The Study involved review of the various technologies that would provide the optimum solution including Penstock System with Impulse Turbine (Pelton) and Barrage System with Reaction Turbine (Kaplan), coordinating with the Vendors and utilising the river flow rates and levels provided by Golder. The outcome was a power supply of 800kW to 1.2 MW subject to the season and rainfall in the catchment areas. The Capex and Opex was developed and formed part of the overall PFS Works.

Resindo as part of a consortium is undertaking a detailed technical review of the project development studies and plans for the project. Resindo’s Principal Process Engineer, working under Worley undertook the process design in addition to our Design office producing the Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s) to support the Worley Study Works.

Previously CSMA was owned by BHPB Billiton. Divested in 2015 to South32 Perth, Australia. 

Resindo is undertaking the design of anchors for pipelines and cables for in-pit systems as part of the Pit Dewatering system. Includes static and dynamic calculation for the supports together with their design. 

Resindo was engaged to undertake detailed verification review engineering for basic and detailed engineering for a HK-Chinese Joint Venture for 20MW HSD power plant including powerhouse, fire fighting facilities, fuel farm and related infrastructure all to British Standards. Work extended to include mentoring the third party engineering works. 

Working as part of an international Team for the; Investigation and development of Dry Stacking of Tailings in place of wet TSF’s to improve the Environment and Safety. 

Work is being undertaken by our Process Principal (international) working with the BHP Team and their other specialist Consultants

Resindo was engaged to undertake design review of the HK-Chinese Contractor engineering for the 20MVA MFO / HFO Power plant including placing two engineers during the refurbishment works in China to monitor methodologies and the quality of the Contractor’s works. Workscope included providing technical support to both BTR in Indonesia & China and SGS (China) who BTR-Contractor engaged for some certified inspection services.  (Ref No. 5004).

Supporting US Group to review investment options for coal mines through Technical Due Diligence. Work includes condition assessment of existing crushers, conveyors, stockpile stacking systems, barge loadout systems, Haul Roads, then upgrade options and Capex for capacity and reliability 

Design to construction level with Capital (Capex) & Operating (Opex) estimates, Procurement & Construction Management; Mine area crushing system, workshops, camp, supporting infrastructure, 62km Haul Road with two major bridges, two River Ports with stacking, reclaim, and loadout - bargeloading systems, one ISP load in system with grab crane, conveyors & stockpiles and bulk fuel storage facilities. 

Post DFS work extended to FEED in preparation for detailed engineering 

Undertaking basic design for 103 km Haul Road upgrades from existing logging roads for initial low volume start-up of coking coal mine. 

Coal Port engineering for Study & implementation phase use by EPC contractor. Work includes design of the complete port; barge loading conveyor, automated stacking, reclaiming, overland conveyors, power generation, fuel storage & support facilities. 

Resindo is engaged to provide technical review and related EPC-commercial support for the Client / Owner in development of the EPC contract 

Resindo working in Joint Venture with an offshore coal process plant designer. Work included the design, procurement and construction of BHPB’s first major Coal project in Indonesia. OS Process design and Resindo work as an integrated Team with OS undertaking the Front End Process Design for the coking coal plant, Resindo the front end & detailed design for MHS / conveyors and balance of plant. 

Work scope includes the CHPP Definitive Feasibility Study for integration into BHPB’s larger Study and the EPC Contract for the CHPP project delivery. 

Resindo is undertaking the Haul Road design, earthworks modelling and optimisation for both existing and new sections of the 140km Haul Road. Work includes several public & dedicated bridges and new pipeline crossings. Resindo will also undertake the preliminary infrastructure expansion review at Port and Mine together with upgrade and repair engineering for the existing Port MHS system. All work includes Capex development 

Work covers the overland conveyor systems from the Mine to the Port, then various options for partial conveying & trucking to optimise Capex versus Opex trade-offs. 

Work included the preliminary design of OLC, Port & ISP crushing, stacking & reclaiming systems, Port Bargeloading conveyor and barge berthing jetty. Capital & operating Costs. 

Work covers the Mine and Port area development including Crushing, Stacking, Loadout, Power and all Support Facilities including bulk fuel facilities for staged production from 600ktpa (Year 1) to 2-3mtpa Year 4). Haul Road is excluded and is currently under construction. Capex, Opex and Report to be developed for our section of the work as summarised.

Reserves consultant is overall FS Coordinator and compiling the final integrated report including undertaking the Resource/Reserve works, financial model, etc. 

A Washplant forms part of the project and will be undertaken by a specialist consultant in Australia. (

Awarded the coordination of the BFS from the respective 3rd party consultant & contractor inputs for coking coal mine development; pit to port & export inclusive all coal handling & infrastructure including bulk fuel farm. Work includes capital & operational estimates, report development, balance MHS engineering, etc.

Secondly awarded the engineering for two bridges with approaches for the haul road including coordination of geotechnical investigation 

Awarded the estimate includes MTO’s, basis, Engineering layouts.

Haul road Mine are up to existing road is approximately 5 Km length, Bridges, Office, Warehouse & workshop, Camp Facility, Utility (incl. fuel supply, water supply and fire fighting) & communication , Power generation, Laydown Area, earthwork for each area . 

Resindo Scope: Review of existing Coal Mine approx 6mtpa; infrastructure, coal processing including crushing, stacking, loadout, transport; mine and river port; condition and capacity including capital asset/cost review for potential investor/acquisition. 

Develop options for three separate product lines with crushing, stockyards, reclaim and bargeloaders with supporting infrastructure for development of River Coal Port. Workscope included local generation and river port fuel farm.

Resindo working under a Ming & Resource Consultant Resindo was engaged to undertake the construction level design for three elements; Upgrade existing haul roads, Design new haul roads (total 35 km) and Design a range of bridges for haulage.

Work includes full hydrology development / update and geotechnical review being undertaken by PT GRM to support the works 

Construction level design review & verification of Subcontractor MHS design functionality & Client camp design compatibility to BHPB design criteria & requirements.

Review & report on operating Coal Mine’s design, Capex and Opex for Coal Jetty development including stock yards, bargeloading conveyors & new access Haul Road.

Resindo is engaged for the engineering work for the main fire/process water pipeline replacement. Objectives are to provide new system facilities that are reliable for adequate flow and pressure (raw, process & fire water) for the existing Vale process plant and to accommodate the requirement for the future Major Expansion Project (MEP 1 & 2) including the Fuel Tank Farm area. 

Work also includes a new water reservoir and geotechnical investigation to support design. 

Resindo is engaged to follow on from the Process PFD, Mass Balance & key equipment sizing to develop a Scoping Study.

Resindo is supporting for process plant civil and structural design, supporting infrastructure and structures within the process plant, total plant construction installation estimates, in-country logistics for construction & operations including coal for reductants & power plant.
